Older Son and I both love Japanese curry (or karee raisu, in Japanese. It's a loan word from English), and I have a pot simmering on the stove right now.
To us, curry is comfort food, and I think I'm going to need it after having my head immobilized in a mask for my 45-minute cyberknife treatment this afternoon.
I took four decadron pills this morning at 10, as directed, and ate a banana just before that, since you aren't supposed to take this stuff on an empty stomach.
I think it's already kicking in, and I expect to get through the rest of the day in double time. That's what steroids do, along with preventing swelling in my head at the site of the tumor.
Note: The photo is one of my favorites of Older Son, taken at age 6. He's 25 now.
@ Jeanne Sather 2010.
What a cutie. He looks like he had just made *you* smile.
