Unbelievable, but it's 20 degrees again today!
Connie and I did get out to the park yesterday, and I threw his ball for him until he was panting with fatigue. Then we came home and he snoozed at my feet for the rest of the day. A happy dog.
I'm going to let it warm up for a couple more hours (wishful thinking, perhaps) and then we are going out again today.
Garden Notes
With this freeze, my garden is pretty much done producing. Anything left out there is frozen, no doubt, except for the carrots. I need to see if they are OK. If they're not frozen, then I plan to pull the rest and eat them. Excellent nutrition in fresh carrots.
Oops! The other day when I was out raking the leaves off my front steps and sidewalk, I used the hose to finish the job and rinsed down the steps and walk. But I didn't curl up the hose when I was done, and now it's frozen straight with water inside. I'm sure there's a moral here.
Jewelry
I've been working on my jewelry recently, both special orders for the holidays and pieces to put on my blog. I just posted a couple of new pieces this morning.
A dramatic necklace:
Necklace: Asymmetrical Symmetry in Turquoise
A fun pair of earrings:
Bill-Paying
I made pretty good headway yesterday sorting out the bills I need to pay and the paperwork I need to deal with (medical bills that didn't go through for some reason, that kind of thing), but I'm not done yet. I crashed at about noon and spent the rest of the day on the couch, reading and talking with the boys.
So I need to put in another hour on that today, and just keep it up until I'm done. I'm motivating myself by not giving myself permission to start the Christmas decorating until this paperwork mess is sorted.
Whatever it takes!
