A Footnote on Neratinib and Russian Livers

My favorite medical librarian sent me the link to a clinical trial that Wyeth is doing (or may have completed) on liver damage with neratinib. 

The thing that caught my eye is that the trial was conducted in RUSSIA. And one group of study participants (patients) were people with chronic liver disease and the other group were healthy people. (I sure hope these folks were compensated for putting their livers at risk!)

It's a Phase I trial, so they are only testing the toxicity. 

I'll try to get newer info on the results of this trial, which was supposed to finish in March of this year.
