Daytime temperatures in Seattle have been in the 40 to 45 F range lately, and raining more often that not.
That's HAT WEATHER, especially if you are bald, as I am.
Well, my head doesn't have that bald-as-an-egg look anymore--I do have about half an inch of very skimpy hair. Not enough to keep my head warm, that's for sure. Barely enough to see. But luckily I have a huge choice of hats in all styles, thanks to Carver, who sent me a box of hats several weeks ago.
I think she sent me about six, everything from a classic black wool beret to a knit hat in nubbly gray tweed. I love them all, and with the two or three hats I already had I have quite an assortment. (I used to have more hats, but I passed several on to a friend who lost her hair to chemo. I thought I wouldn't need them again. Oops!)
I'll try to take some photos so you can see all my great hats. Thanks Carver!
Carver is a survivor of stage III melanoma who started out blogging about cancer and now mostly posts flower and landscape photos to her blog. See: Carver's Sight or Is That Site?
This is the fourth time I've been bald. Read more about being bald: Bald

Hi Jeanne,
I'm glad you can use the hats. I have an absurd number of hats so it was my pleasure to be able to pass some of them on. Take care, Carver
