Unbelievable, but today is even darker and gloomier than yesterday!
The first thing I did, after feeding Connie and making a pot of coffee, was get out my "Happy Light," a full-spectrum light that helps me wake up on these dark mornings. I have it shining on me as I work at the computer and sip my coffee.
This is a typical Seattle November--dark, cold, raining.
Regardless, I have promised myself that I will walk Connie every day this week, so as soon as I have enough coffee on board I'll bundle myself up and take him out. Maybe I'll wait for a gap in the rain ... assuming there is one.
Other than walking Connie, I have some jewelry projects to work on and a bit of housework.
Dinner with the boys was really nice last night. Older Son ordered from Snappy Dragon, a Chinese place that has great tofu dishes--hot and spicy. Somehow, I got left with the dishes--how did that happen?
I'm having another birthday celebration tomorrow--my actual birthday--with my good friends Laurie and Monica. Normally, we would go to the women's bathhouse for a soak, but that is not a good idea for me this soon after getting out of the hospital, so we are having dinner and then a sauna at my house. Some previous owners of this house were from Finland, and they put in a sauna. I use it a lot during these dark, cold days.
