After our long trip to and from Munster on Sunday, I spent most of the next day in bed, just reading and sleeping and trying to get over my jet lag. But Monday was Younger Son's 19th birthday, so we went out in the evening to celebrate.

I'm so glad your son had a good birthday. I'm enjoying your trip postcards. Looks like you are both having fun.

great photos, jeanne! i often feel that my 'vacation' photos are boring to other people, that you had to be there and have the memory to appreciate the image. but these are more personal, full of expression, color, and life. and the tank is a fascinating piece of machinery in itself.
i hope you are managing the fatigue of the travel and activity level. thank you kindly for sharing your exploits with us!

Your son looks so happy -- great photo! And it sounds like a great experience all around.

Isn't he cute? And a bit under the influence there, I think.
I bought Younger Son a jug like the one in the lower picture as a souvenir. He'll be living in an apartment on campus this coming school year, rather than in a dorm, so he needs a few kitchen things.
Now he's off to spend the rest of the summer with his father, and I'm missing him already. Luckily, Older Son is here to keep me company.
