Do you know how hard it is to take a photo of a two and a half week old kitten? With a digital camera (between the time you click the shutter and the camera fires, the kitten has turned its head ...)?
It took two of us (you can't tell unless you look closely, but my friend is holding the kitten in a head lock--the kind of move that would be illegal in wrestling), and even so only one of the three shots I snapped was useable.
The foster kittens are growing, eating, sleeping, purring, and one of them is up walking on his legs. The other three are still doing the kitten crawl, with their fat little tummies on the ground.
Zoe, Dubutaunt's daughter, has naming rights. Except for one, which was named by the kids I teach Japanese to at First Place School. They named him Kuro-neko-chan, which means "little black cat." Very appropriate. If I have a favorite, it's that little guy. But really, my favorite is whichever one I'm holding at the time.

Tiny muffin head! Hee!
Thank you for your efforts in bringing us the latest in cuteness. :)

The girls are going to revel in that cuteness. Zoe is already ready to move to Seattle. Mainly so that Tim and I will get her a puppy. HA!! Let's see how ready she is once she realizes that it is COLD there!

Hey--we have a WONDERFUL climate. You just might want to plan on a sun break in Texas every November and February. I go to Hawaii for a week almost every February, and that carries me through to spring--now I have all sorts of plants growing ... and the sun is out. Cold, but sunny.

It was nice to finally see some sun yesterday, wasn't it Jeanne? I umpired a game last Friday (in fact, one of the teams was your son Robin's school!) and we had to dodge snowflakes. In late April. Ugh.
Such cute kittens! I may need a shot of Deb's insulin before we come over to prepare for all that sweetness. See you this weekend!

Tim--you'll get to meet Robin. He's coming over to join us and to keep your 13-year-old company. Was it Seattle U, or Seattle Prep? He actually left Prep a year early to start at Seattle U, but Prep still claims him because he doesn't get his high school diploma till this June.
You may need more than insulin to resist these kittens. But I think three of them are already spoken for, so you'll be able to resist the pleas from your girls to get a kitten (of course, I will have more once these get old enough to leave my care).
Looking forward to Saturday.
