Helpful Friends

I first met my friend Jeff when he took a writing class from me at the University of Washington Extension. After the class was over, I provided a bit of handholding while Jeff wrote three cover stories for Seattle Weekly (I've only written one cover story for the Weekly, for those of you who are keeping score).

Now the shoe is on the other foot, the tables are turned, and the student has become the teacher, as Jeff is mentoring me in the ways of the blog world. I wouldn't have been able to launch this blog without his guidance.

Jeff, a creative guy, has a blog of his own called Idealog, "Where technology, politics, media and snowboarding collide," and he's also launched a Web site called Newscloud, a community for sharing and discussing the news. Take a look, Jeff has a lot to say.
